I have always loved fashion. I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio — the third largest fashion city in the United States. Growing up, I was inspired by my exposure to so many successful, female fashion executives. They taught me that fashion was both art and commerce. Before I went to college I had a life changing internship with the designer Cynthia Rowley. It was such a wonderful experience that I went back for a second time in college. Afterwards I knew I wanted to work in fashion and live in New York. I later attended Colorado College and studied abroad in Chile, Italy and Spain — gaining an appreciation of the global marketplace. After graduation, I jumped at the opportunity to join L Brands, in a group informally known as “Les Wexner’s eyes and ears.” In a job like this, you learn quickly and I was given increasingly complex challenges. While at L Brands, I successfully partnered with colleagues and consultants around the world to create exciting new brands including Pink and Victoria Sport — and was part of new initiatives including the C.O. Bigelow line and the Express Editor Pant.

I continued to work alongside the best at Macy’s, joining their fashion office to develop major trends and items for each season that would set the tone for every Macy’s store. Partnering closely with Macy’s private label women’s brands, I created color palettes and print direction for product lines and developed brand extensions. I also attended and studied major runway shows and trade shows seeking trends and fresh ideas. My favorite part of my job was going to markets like Los Angeles, London, Barcelona, Paris or Madrid to find inspiration for what Macy’s should look like in upcoming seasons. I presented my point-of-view to executives, designers, merchants, marketing leadership and key vendor teams. My travel around the world allowed me to provide direction that would lead to best-selling items and help create major marketing campaigns.

Today, I partner with incredible beauty, fashion, retail and consumer brands. I leverage all of my experiences and insights to maximize opportunities for my clients in a changing global marketplace. I’m especially excited to work with entrepreneurs and new businesses that represent the future of fashion and commerce.
